Booth | Collective Project

Booth is an anthology project that brings together four directors, giving each one pre-shot footage to create their own unique vision through editing and direction. The result is four distinct short films forming a collective narrative.

Inspired by the kaze no denwa (風の電話, "Wind Phone") monument in Ōtsuchi, Japan, where visitors symbolically converse with deceased loved ones, The Booth revolves around a London-style phone booth found in New York City. This booth, however, allows conversations with anyone—living or dead, past or present—but only for a maximum of 15 seconds.

This concept offers endless storytelling possibilities, as each director can re-edit or add additional footage (including archival material) to craft their own narrative. The original footage is designed to accommodate adding dialogue and a screenplay afterward.
